Hey everyone,
Today I decided to update you all on my progress as an expectant mother. July 21, 2009 and I can honestly say that I am ready for Brooklyn to arrive. Chris and I have started counting down the days and we have 7 days to go according to her due date of July 28, 2009. My pregnancy has been great thus far and now I am at the point that it just seems long...... I have enjoyed the kicks and movements and man is Brooklyn a little gymnast inside. She loves to move and hear her daddy's voice. Chris has been an amazing support partner and I appreciate him for this. I am feeling a little more tired these days, and I move in slowwwww motion. Chris and I both laugh and say that I can't complain because I really didn't start feeling pregnant until month 8!
We are now going to the doctor once a week and being checked to see if my cervix is softening. I have been told that it is softened just a little so I look forward to going to the doctor on Thursday. Please...please let me have good news ha ha. My goal and we have been praying....is to hear that things are going in the right path. I am sorry Brooklyn but I know that you enjoy mommy's womb, but it is almost time for you to shine and show yourself to the world. I will keep you all updated and remember to check out www.marywineberg.com for pictures and things once she is born. My weight gain has been perfect, even confusing many from behind that I am not pregnant....I started off at 138 and am now 169. So once I deliver I will be back to training September 1, 2009 and hopefully all the baby weight is gone.....
All in all we have everything ready, her room was done for months, all her clothes are washed and hanging in the closet. Chris has even already packed his special daddy diaper bag for her with all of her necessities. I was amazed Daddy did a great job putting it together. One thing that Chris is excited about doing is, bathing her. Yeah I was surprised too, but hey the reason he is so excited is because he gets to put her in one of those hooded towels or bathrobes. Man you should see the smile on his face when you say hooded towels. Brooklyn has several so far and one is a bunny, a cat, and Winnie the pooh. Can't wait until bath time.....
My biggest craving has been ICE WATER, and as a professional athlete I have never drank so much water before.........I never knew that it was soooooo good!!!! So pregnant or not please make sure that you all drink lots of water, it is good for you and has healthy results. GOT WATER??????
I also find myself watching all the latest baby shows; Birth Day, Bringing Home Baby, and Deliver me. These shows are amazing and I feel prepared for anything. Again please keep us in your prayers and we wish you all the best.
Talk to you soon,
Mary & Chris & Brooklyn Marie Wineberg
